BCB 5300: Algorithms in Computational Biology
Section 01 TTh 9:30–10:45am RTH-346 - Introduction to algorithmic techniques and analysis motivated by biological problems. Topics include dynamic programming, tree and graph algorithms, sequence analysis, clustering, and hidden Markov models. Applications include sequence alignment, motif finding, genome assembly, gene prediction, and phylogeny.
BCB 5810: Bioinformatics Colloquium
Section 01 W 3:10–4:00pm RTH-242 - Current topics in bioinformatics and computational biology through presentations by faculty, students, and invited speakers. Students present a 20–30 minute talk demonstrating oral communication skills with technical content.
